On January 6, 2024, the 2023 Academic Annual Meeting of the ITD Textile Design Innovation Team of Donghua University was held at the Songjiang Campus.

Representatives from enterprises including Wang Aibing, Vice President of Shanghai Textile Research Institute, Guo Jianfeng, Vice President of Suzhou Fiber Inspection Institute, Lin Xiaojian, General Manager of Huangyu Group, Chai Fangjun, Chairman of Shanghai Dingtian Fashion Technology Co., Ltd., and Li Yidong, General Manager of Shanghai Silk Group Cultural Development Co., Ltd. attended the meeting. Alumni representatives including Fu Peihua, Senior Customer Manager of American Cotton Company, Yu Li, Technical Director of Jiangyin Longyang Textile Co., Ltd., Wu Huaibin, Deputy Secretary General of the Zipper Branch of China Hardware Products Association, Fang Bin, Head of the Pilot Base of Modern Textile Technology Innovation Center (Jianhu Laboratory), and Li Qiang, General Manager of Suzhou Younan Clothing Co., Ltd. attended the meeting. Professor Li Yuling, Associate Professor Zhang Ruiyin, Associate Professor Xu Weimin, Associate Professor Xue Wenliang, Associate Professor Ma Yanxue, Associate Professor Ding Yi, Professor Liu Yunying, Professor Ge Lan, and team graduate students from Donghua University attended the meeting.

In the morning, a roundtable meeting on innovative textile design was held in Conference Room 7, chaired by Professor Xue Wenliang. At the meeting, Professor Xue Wenliang summarized and reported on the team's annual work situation. Representatives from the company and alumni expressed their affirmation of team work and discussed issues related to industry development status, innovative research directions, and talent cultivation needs.

In the afternoon, a selection activity for the "Academic Star" of textile design was held in the Third Lecture Hall. Zhao Fei, Wang Yuxian, Xu Shuai, Liu Wei, Xie Yi, and Li Meng, a total of six graduate students, participated in this selection. The participating students will first report on their personal experiences and academic research, followed by on-site questioning by experts. After scoring by experts and attending students, Li Meng was ultimately awarded the honorary title of "Academic Star" in textile design by the ITD team in 2023.
